Thank you so-so much to everyone who voted for me. I’m still in the competition! I really appreciate it. Although I’m really pleased I’m still part of the game, I’m also sad that we have to say goodbye to Els. Els made a really pretty dress on which she added some really cool beading and embroidery. It’s really sad to see her go. I would love it if you would pop over to her blog and check out all the lovely she makes.
And now it’s time to discus my coat, that was the challenge for this week. Make a wintercoat with lining and at least one buttonhole. If you like it, I would love it if you vote for me. But first I’ll tell you a bit more.
Let the games begin! And may the odds be ever in your favour.
And so it begins, the mother of competition Sew It Up, where I get to be a part of! Today I can share my 20s inspired dress with you. And starting from today untill thursday you can pop on over to the Sew It Up website and vote.
It’s time for a book review about one of my favourite books, the second edition of Fabric for Fashion. Today I’ll tell you more about the book and how different it is from the previous one.
Right now you can find out more about the contestants of Sew It Up. Every other day a contest will be introduced, And girl, I am scared! It won’t be a walk in the park!
And we also know the challenges:
- Week 1: 20’s
- Week 2: a coat
- Week 3: inspired by a movie
- Week 4: inspired by a picture of yourself as a kid
- Week 5: own style
I also made video about Sew it Up. You can find out a bit more than I wrote here.
Today I can share some great news with you! Really great news! I’m selected to be one of the contestants in the second edition of Sew it Up. How cool is that! I’m so pleased that I can share this news with you!
To everybody out there who applied but didn’t get selected, don’t give up! Just apply again next time. That’s also what I did. And the second time was my lucky time! So go for it!
Sew it Up is an online sewing compition. A bit like project runway, but I can still sleep at home and I have to make wearable clothing for myself.
If you’d like to know more about the compition and the other constestand, check out their website.
I’m so excited!
It’s been a while, and a lot has happened since we last talked. But I won’t be bothering you with this. I’ll only bother you with something you will like, or at least I hope you’ll like it.
It’s about fabric -insert evil smile-
Thank you so-so much for al the cards. 34 of you sended a card. That’s a lot of people! But the best part was what you wrote. So many lovely words. I really enjoyed reading all of them! Thank you so much! I’m sure I’ll be re-reading these cards a lot! And if you would like to know who won. Check out the video.
// Thank you so much for all your lovely cards! It really made my day! And my little niece was blown away by the amount of cards “Wow auntie! You have so many friends!” And it really feels that way. I had a blast checking out all of your cards with her. The pretty cards, the nice words. I really love it how everybody -literally everybody- made an effort to write a few lovely words. Nobody wrote only these words “happy birthday, I hope you have a great day”. That made me really happy! These cards will find their home in my -nearly finished- sewing room.
Thank you so much for all the cards!!! I’m really blown away by the responce. You made my birthday into a great day!
By the way, I will announce the winner of the give away in a few days. I decided to wait just a bit more. Maybe sombody’s card is arriving a tiny but too late. It would be sad if that person wouldn’t be able to participate in the give away because the post is -maybe-running slow.
Now it’s almost my birthday, and your last chance to enter the give away to win this lovely price pack a new sponsor popped out of knowhere! They added the autumn/winter edition of the sewing magazine ‘My Image‘. How cool is that!
Would you like to win this? Check out how you can enter here.
